Ascent Family Counseling

Hi, my name is Lisa Dunning a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate. I specialize in working with children, teens, young adults, couples, and families. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life changes, grief, loss, anger, trauma, ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ challenges. I believe that people truly want to be happy and content, but get caught up in life's challenges not knowing what to do next. In therapy I use solution focused, collaborative problem solving, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, to list a few and will meet where you are. We will work as a team. I worked in public education for 20+ years. I understand how hard it is to be a parent, a spouse, and a friend. I am ready to help you go on a journey of a lifetime. In my spare time I enjoy quilting, backpacking, hiking, spending time in nature, playing with horses, and spending time with family and friends.
